Our Late Harvest Riesling shows the versatility of this wonderful grape. Left out to continue ripening in the warm Barossa autumn, this wine shows classic characters of citrus and orchard fruits with creamy honey sweetness supported by crisp, fresh acidity balancing the natural fruit sweetness.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Pale straw gold
Aroma
Finely focused nose of lime cordial, fresh white blossoms and hints of citrus infused shortbread.
Palate
A sweetly zesty palate filled with gently poached fruits (pears, quinces, stone fruits) all squeezed with a hint of lime and served with a freshly baked piece of shortcrust pastry. The soft, lightly honeyed palate is kept perfectly in check by the zesty acidity and hint of texture that retains the shape and drive. Finishes clean with the aroma of late summer florals and steely Riesling acidity ever present.
Food Pairing
Spicy Asian cuisine and fruit based desserts.
Notes
Viticulture
The winter of 2023 was drier than usual and this continued through to November which prompted an earlier than usual bud burst and flowering. The vines had a reprieve in December and January with some rainfall that, combined with the warmer temperatures prompted rapid shoot growth and berry development. All signs pointed to an earlier than usual vintage and as expected, the whites ripened quickly but retained exceptional aromatic quality and naturaL acids
