Our Blue Quarry range pays homage to the bluestone quarry in which our winery finds its home. Crafted from exceptional single vineyard sites, these wines showcase nuance, craftsmanship and a profound connection to the land, inviting a journey through
the distinct character of each vineyard.

Sourced from our highest, most windswept vineyard.  The vines here work hard but find daily relief from the warmer side of the growing season.  The result is a wine that demonstrates purity of fruit, a crisp line of dark berries and long structure showing great balance and finesse.

Vintage Report

The winter of 2023 was drier than usual and this continued through to November which prompted an earlier than usual
bud burst and flowering.  The vines had a reprieve in December and January with some rainfall that, combined with the warmer temperatures prompted rapid shoot growth and berry development. All signs pointed to an earlier than usual vintage and as expected, the whites ripened quickly but retained exceptional aromatic quality and natural acids. The reds followed
and with smaller berries and lower yields they produced fruit of very high quality with great aromatic profiles, excellent
colour and fruit intensity and strong tannin profiles across the board.

Aging Potential

7 - 15 years

Technical

Vineyard Notes

Grower - GL & L Schrapel

Perched at one of our highest and most picturesque sites, this Shiraz vineyard commands sweeping north-western views across the valley. The block is shaped by cooling southerly winds and fresh gully breezes, which temper the daytime warmth and preserve balance and finesse. Deeply rooted in classic Barossa red-brown earth, enriched with limestone and ironstone, the vines draw both strength and subtlety from the soil.
