First Village Grenache Shiraz Mataro 2018
A blend of Grenache (52%), Shiraz (25%) and Mataro (23%), this wine has all the hallmarks of the style with a bright and fresh red fruited nose complemented by ample crisp blue fruits and vibrant tannins on the palate giving a wine of great complexity and length.
As the first release of this wine, we are delighted with the outcome.

Five distinct vineyard blocks were used to create this wine. The two Grenache parcels were sourced from Vine Vale and Lyndoch whilst the Shiraz and Mataro cam from our own vineyards in Bethany. Parcels were kept separate and whole berry fermented with a variety of skin contact times daily pumpovers according to stage of fermentation.Â
