The nose gives us attractive plums, chocolate, tobacco leaves, mocha, dry herbs, mulberries and smoked meats. Ripe, with a seductive texture and fine satiny tannins. Excellent length. This is soft, approachable and delicious. Enjoy over the next five to eight years.

Richly fruited and gorgeously complex with blackberry, cake spice, rich floral and vanillin oak characters, it's impressively weighted in the mouth displaying awesome depth and plush texture. Opulent and richly layered with an impressively long, satisfying finish.

The 2021 Blue Quarry Barrel Select Shiraz is pure and concentrated, filled to the brim with suede-feeling tannins and loads of sumptuous black and red fruit. This is a glossy, fresh, persistent wine of unbroken/seamless texture. Classy plus. This is really good—but I am finding that most of the Bethany wines are! 14.5% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.
