Descendants of the Schrapel family have been caretakers of vineyards in the Barossa Valley for more than 150 years. Today, those very vineyards continue to be nurtured to produce what have become some of the most iconic wines in the Valley.
First Village Red Wines

The Estate Series champions the single vineyard varieties grown on the Schrapel Family estate in the Barossa and neighbouring vineyards in the Eden Valley. This series comprises Riesling, Semillon, Chardonnay, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Merlot, Shiraz and Rosé as well as sparkling white.

Estate Reds

RosÚ
RosÚ
The palate is bone dry but has a wonderfully lush red fruit suppleness from the Grenache whilst the Touriga provides a spicy backbone. The finish is long, clean and balanced with a hint of rose petal and lemongrass.
Grenache
Grenache
Sourced from low yielding bush vines ranging in age from 50 to 120 years old. Fine structure expressing the varietal red berry fruit characters of Grenache balanced by supple fine grain tannins.
Shiraz Cabernet
Shiraz Cabernet
The soft yet generous flavoured palate combines perfectly with the fine grained tannin structure. A fresh, easy drinking style it shows excellent palate weight and a persistent lingering finish.
Cabernet Merlot
Cabernet Merlot
The deep, black cherry colour of this typically Barossa style is followed by a complex bouquet displaying young vibrant fruit with some overtones of oak and a slightly spicy character.
Shiraz
Shiraz
This is one of the Shiraz styles for which Australia is the famous world over. Made from shiraz grapes grown in the Schrapel vineyards and neighbours.
