This is a rare opportunity to bid for exceptional wines from the Barossa’s greatest wineries at the Barossa Wine Chapters Auction and Lunch. Four of our rare back vintage and large format wines go under the hammer. Come and join it in a vibrant atmosphere at the table hosted by Geoff and Robert Schrapel.

Location: Chateau Tanunda, 9 Basedow Road Tanunda
Ticket price: $150.00 per person (Table of 10).

1992 Bethany Estate Shiraz 1x750ml
The wine is showing subtle cherry and vanillin notes on the nose and complex aged characteristics on the palate with lovely plum and dark cherry flavours intermingled with silky oak. Winner of Best Dry Red Table Wine Trophy at 1994 National Wine Show of Australia
Betany Eden Valley Reserve Riesling vertical set (One bottle each of 2011 – 2016) 6x750ml
The six exceptional Bethany Eden Valley Reserve Rieslings are specially pre-released for the auction. The ideal terroir of the vineyards in the Eden Valley create Riesling grapes of outstanding quality.
Bethany GR Reserve Shiraz vertical set (two bottles each of 2006 GR11, 2008 GR12, and 2012 GR13) 6x750ml
Bethany GR Reserve Shiraz is only made in outstanding vintages. A ripe and powerful bouquet, fine and elegant tannin on the palate with a very long aftertaste with defines Bethany’s reserve style. These three vintages exemplify Bethany’s supreme wine quality which is produced from its distinctive Barossa foothills vineyard.

The 2012 Bethany LE Shiraz commemorates the dedication of Lawrence and Edna Schrapel, fourth generation vignerons of the Schrapel Family Vineyards. This once-in-a-decade’s vintage of the LE Shiraz expresses to the fullest the true characteristics of Shiraz grown on the foothills of the Barossa.
